The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) imposed Maximum Retail Prices on five essential commodities – Mysore dhal, sugar, potatoes, green gram and imported sprats – with effect from midnight on 27 January.
The maximum retail price for a kilogramme of Mysore dhal has been set at Rs. 159 while a kilogramme of white sugar can be sold at a maximum price of Rs. 93.
The maximum retail price of a kilogramme of potatoes is Rs. 115 and a kilogramme of green gram is set at Rs. 205.
