ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, said it had appointed Shiran Fernando as Chief Economist following the resignation of Anushka Wijesinha from the position.
“It is an exciting opportunity to join the Ceylon Chamber, the leading Business Chamber in the country and shaping the economic discussion in Sri Lanka,” Fernando said.
Fernando was Lead Economist and Senior Product Head at Frontier Research, a Colombo-based economic and equities research house.
Fernando is already a member of the Steering Committee on Economic Policy of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.
He has also been providing economic expertise at the monthly Exporters Association of Sri Lanka Management Committee meeting.
