Total number of infected persons confirmed in Sri Lanka stands at 170

Since the daily Covid-19 update was issued yesterday, eight more patients have tested positive for the Coronavirus, said Dr. Anil Jasinghe, the Director-General of Health Services.

Accordingly, the total number of infected persons confirmed in Sri Lanka stands at 170.

Three out of the eight new cases was detected from the Homagama Hospital. One person was detected from a quarantine centre in Puttalam and another was detected from Matara. He had closely associated with an infected person. Two others were detected from Colombo and another one tested positive from Negombo.
